BELLAIRS first opened its doors in Sydney in 2010. It was started by Lisa, an experienced dance teacher, and driven by her passion to support safe dance practice for her young students. She adopted the Juon Pointe Shoe Fitting System, a system focused on the fitter working closely with the dancer to fit a shoe that provides maximum alignment and support, helping the dancer to achieve their maximum potential and avoid common injuries. BELLAIRS thrived providing Pointe Shoe Fitting services to dancers all along the East Coast of Australia.

In 2019, after 10 years of running BELLAIRS, Lisa retired and passed BELLAIRS to Penny from AKA Dancewear. Herself a former professional dancer and qualified yoga teacher, Penny immediately embraced the Juon System and continues to provide this service through the BELLAIRS brand.
